How do car LED headlights dissipate heat?

There are several main ways to dissipate heat for automotive LED headlights:

Passive heat dissipation: Heat is transferred to the air through a metal heat sink (such as an aluminum heat sink). This method is simple and stable, but the heat dissipation effect is limited, and it is suitable for LED headlights with lower power.

Active heat dissipation: Use a fan to force convection to dissipate heat. This method uses a fan to take away heat from the heat sink, and has a better heat dissipation effect, which is suitable for LED headlights with higher power.

Heat pipe heat dissipation: Use the high thermal conductivity of the heat pipe to transfer heat from the LED lamp beads to the heat sink. The heat conduction speed of the heat pipe is much faster than that of a metal heat sink, which is suitable for high-power LED headlights.

Heat dissipation plate heat dissipation: The heat is evenly distributed and quickly transferred through the heat dissipation plate, further improving the heat dissipation efficiency. This method is suitable for LED headlights with higher heat dissipation requirements.
